Some photographs of the Hornby - EWS liveried - Shark

Note the first few photos are exposed to show the detailing bits provided and do not represent the true colours of the vehicle

After the release of the ‘Seacow’ and ‘Sealion’ wagons a couple of years back, Hornby has now released the Shark (ZUV) ballast plough brake van and what  an excellent representation of the prototype it is - as built - it is therefore technically incorrect for this livery (or number ?), the real one having been extensively changed in the body area.
The vehicle is supplied with "Hornby" tension lock couplings which have cut-away ploughs to accommodate the (now standard) NEM sockets, but correct pattern ploughs and guards are supplied  - see photos. Also provided are air-pipes, drop-down vacuum pipes and high-level air pipes, sadly no sprung buffers on this model ! (WHY ??)
The nicely applied livery has a  TOPS date panel, EWS logos and PPM markings - see photos.

WFRM Summary - A useful addition to the engineers fleet but possibly some minor work required for the perfectionist, the lack of sprung buffers is a disappointment
