| Widnes | Charlotte Road was originally a terminus station which was converted to a through station by WFRM members. At that time the owner decided he wanted visible panels to display the routes set from the fiddle yard (by the software), so some panels were made (not without pain!) and the routes were then visible to the operators. When the new sidings were laid in at the back of the layout a new small panel was added to once again enable the routes to be visible for operators. We are now in the process of changing both ends of the fiddle yard and so the opportunity was taken to dispense with the visible panels and, like Widnes, use software only, this means we don't have to rebuild/alter the panels each time any changes are required.
