Because many of us will be purchasing the LED's from different sources, providing a part number and US address where I get mine seemed irrelevant.  Instead I set our measurements of the LED's you will need.  See attached. If you procure LED's to these dimensions then you will be good to go..

A note about voltage.  You can purchase these LED's in various voltage specs, 1.0V or 1.5V etc. Using 3V LED's ensures that they are bright.  It is easier to dim the brightness of LED's than the reverse.  I use matte varnish to tune the brightness of each group of LED's.  Other media will also do the job.

The parts list is for a single post signal at this time and does not include items for feathers, call-ons (cats eyes) and the items shown in some of the photos a couple of you have posted.  But we will get to that if what we do in the elementary stage, i.e. learning how to make a multi aspect colour light single post signal.

Important note to those who have expressed an interest to sit quiet and learn how I make my signals at this time and will save all what goes on here for later.  I use Alan Gibson ladders, they are far and away the best out there.   So heads up here - Alan is closing up shop, so get your ladders now, other items I use can all be scratch built, so can the ladders, but what a bummer of a job when you can get those nice stiles he offers complete with all the rung holes and they be nicely matched perfectly.
